A fully equipped and lovely welcoming hotel, my first choice in Rilly-la-Montagne. Excellent base for 3 nights with helpful staff who had taken note of the reservation. Spacious room, very comfy bed and luxury bathroom. Short walk from the train station, perfect and excellent location. Outstanding meal at in-house restaurant.

The food. The proximity to Grand Champagne houses. Comfort and helpfulness of staff. Friendly but unobtrusive.
Felt a bit pushed out by Renault corporate event.

Overrall, the staff at the hotel provided excellent service which is so important. The quality and presentation of the food was of a very high standard. The setting is in a nice qaint village so suits people who want to get away from it all for a nice weekend break.
Nothing really. The meals were quite expensive, but then it was of a high quality.

I loved the hotel itself, the building, the furnishings and the overall set-up. Very tasteful and lovely. The food in the restaurant was very well presented and was truly delicious. Congratulations to the chef. I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly.
I found the hotel a little secluded where it is located. As there is not much to do in the town (no coffee shop, no little bistro to visit) unless you have a car you are pretty much stuck at the hotel. The trains are not frequent enough for visitors. The hotel really needs a shuttle bus to ferry guests to and from the hotel to Epernay and Rheims. Overseas travellers don't always want to hire a car and drive on the other side of the road for a day or so whilst visiting the Champagne region.

The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The food in the restaurant was delicious, with unique flavor combinations that were a delight to the taste buds. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding vineyards and the terrace offered a beautiful spot to enjoy meals and drinks.
The room was a bit disappointing considering the price we paid. The limited choices for the dinner menu was also a letdown.

Having only opened earlier this year (June 2012?), we booked this hotel "on spec" and it was a real find. Right in the heart of the Champagne region and in the interesting village of Rilly-La-Montagne, the hotel was excellent. * The rooms were clean , spacious and beautifully decorated * The restaurant produced excellent food in a lovely dining room * Buffet breakfast was comprehensive We're sure we will stay again and will look forward to it.
To be honest, there wasn't anything we didn't like. We were unfortunate because the hot water boiler had broken down and there was not hot water during our stay. An appropriate adjustment was made to our bill and we still enjoyed our stay.

First impression was the delightful decor and the furniture/fittings in keeping with the age of the chateau. Bedroom and bathroom spotless - in fact we found the hotel relaxing and a perfect place to stay and unwind before returning to the hum drum world of work. I would like to mention that staff are excellent - in the restaurant they cannot do enough for you and at reception they are most helpful giving directions to different places of interest, etc.
Although it does not directly affect the Chateau, I did not like the factory at the bottom of the garden nor the fact that it was so built up around this gracious mansion. Breakfast was fine but I did have a complaint about the state of some of the fresh fruit (peaches, nectarines and apricots) which were withered and some bad but were changed the next morning. The scrambled egg was dried up also but otherwise everything was fine.

Great hotel, shame the booking system failure me and my family.
The hotel had no record of our booking and did not have the rooms we had believed booked through Booked.net. My 21 year old son had to sleep on a child's folding bed only suitable for up to a 12 year old not a 6' 3" male. I am looking for a full refund. On arrival at 20.30 the hotel were not expecting us and when I presented the confirmation booking paperwork all they could do were give us the only rooms available a double and single, they did give me a €10a room discount and the boys received a half bottle of Champagne. I was not going to argue as it was late and what choice did I have? This ruined the start of our holiday. I would like a full investigation as to how this happened, and what you are going to do about it.
